Trusts are an excellent means for estate preservation and asset management and distribution. The Savannah Bank provides a number of services related to Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, including Charitable Remainder Trusts.
A Revocable Trust, also known as a “Living Trust”, is an asset plan established to benefit either yourself or your beneficiaries while you’re alive. This Trust can be revoked or modified at your discretion. The Savannah Bank will manage your investments according to your long-term financial objectives.
There are two types of Irrevocable Trusts – Testamentary Trusts and Irrevocable Inter Vivos Trusts. A Testamentary Trust is set up under your will to provide for your beneficiaries after your death. An Irrevocable Inter Vivos Trust is established while you’re alive, to provide funds for your beneficiaries for education, medical expenses and other designated needs. The Savannah Banks’ Trust Department can act as your corporate trustee to manage your trust.
A Custodial Account can be established in which The Savannah Bank will hold your assets and keep them safe from damage, theft or loss. The Bank will collect and distribute or reinvest your income. When directed by you or your appointed money manager, the Bank will execute your trade orders at favorable commission rates.
Individual Retirement Accounts are an ideal way to save money and prepare for your retirement while deferring taxation. The Savannah Bank accepts IRA Rollovers from other financial institutions, brokerage houses or pension plans.
